SOULART - soulful audio

SOULART combines all my different facets as a pianist, multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer, arranger and bandleader. SOULART is just me - RALPH KIEFER. I am very proud of working together with some of the greatest musicians of our time - Dephazz-Singer KARL FRIERSON, ANAJ, BAJKA, GEORGIA MULDROW, DECLAIME...


My first hit "Black Forest Stomp"I dedicated to the place where I was born in the sunny southwest of Germany.
I began playing organ at the age of 8, learning by ear and soon began composing and arranging.
I played blues, soul and acid jazz with local bands until I moved to munich where I studied jazz piano with Leonid Chizhik.
After working with jazz bands like Hipnosis I came back to my roots of soul and funk, recording the Album Mokadi "Human Natures".
I toured with rare groove legend Poets Of Rhythm, Fela Kuti's drummer Jojo Kuo and as a solo piano artist.
After releasing my new Album The Soul Session "One" in 2012 I am working on my next projects:
The Soul Session "2", my new solo piano album, my new Jazz Trio and of course further film projects...
